Event List

Dublin residents, workers and small-business owners looking for a foothold in the city’s commercial community have four distinct entry points this September: relationship-building at Lunch Bunch, a member-focused SkinSpirit celebration, the public-facing Taste of Dublin and online budgeting help from BMI Federal Credit Union.

The late-month schedule moves quickly, with BMI’s webinar Sept. 22, SkinSpirit’s event Sept. 24 and Taste of Dublin Sept. 29.

Chamber connections

Lunch Bunch is the clearest fit for business owners and workers who want to build relationships through the Chamber. It is part of the organization’s September member and community programming.

Another business-focused event centers on SkinSpirit’s clinic at 4375 W. Dublin-Granville Road. The SkinSpirit grand-opening event runs from 5 to 8 p.m. Sept. 24.

The celebration is a Chamber member event featuring exclusive member discounts. Its RSVP instructions require attendees to email their full name and email address to [email protected].

The September celebration is not the opening date SkinSpirit originally announced for the clinic. The company said in a March 17 news release that its first Ohio location was set to open March 24, six months before the Chamber’s grand-opening event.

A public showcase

Taste of Dublin is the calendar’s clearest public-facing showcase. It runs from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Sept. 29 at The Wendy’s Company in Dublin and is limited to attendees 21 and older. Ticket choices include general admission, admission with the Wine Bar & Tap Room Tasting Experience and a corporate ticket partnership.

General admission costs $79 and includes unlimited food tastings and drink tickets for wine, beer, mocktails or Coca-Cola products. Admission with the Wine Bar & Tap Room Tasting Experience costs $125.

Money skills online

BMI Federal Credit Union’s online programming offers a practical option for people looking for help with personal finances. The first session of its Financial Wellness Check-in webinar series is scheduled for Sept. 22.

People can register for the noon session, Financial Wellness Check-in: Budget, through BMI’s workshop page and receive Zoom login information by email. The webinar will cover what to include in a budget, strategies for making one work and tools for creating a financial plan.

The practical choice depends on the goal: build Chamber contacts through Lunch Bunch, attend a member-focused business celebration, buy a ticket to discover Dublin’s food scene or log on for help building a budget.
